Our work for Lincolnshire Limewoods included the design of interpretation panels, a visitor guide and supporting visual identity for a network of woodland sites across the county.
The interpretation focuses on the unique ecological and historical value of the Limewoods, helping to communicate the importance of these ancient woodland habitats. Each panel is designed to reflect the character of its specific location, including sites at Wragby, Wickenby and Fiskerton Fen, while maintaining a consistent overall identity across the wider landscape.
The panels combine clear, accessible storytelling with maps, illustration and photography to help visitors understand the woodland environment and its management. Information is structured to support quick engagement on site, while encouraging deeper appreciation of the habitats and species present.
Alongside the on-site interpretation, we developed a printed foldout visitor guide that extends the experience beyond the site itself. This provides additional context, walking information and background detail to support exploration of the Limewoods network.
A logo and visual identity system were also created to unify the project, ensuring consistency across all interpretation and promotional materials.
The result is a cohesive interpretation approach that connects multiple woodland sites through a clear narrative of place, ecology and heritage.
